Experienced and Ready to Mediate Impartial Resolutions

After over 30 years of litigating employment cases and participating in more mediations than I can count, I have closed my litigation practice and opened a mediation practice. In many ways this is a dream come true. I explored mediation as a career before entering law school only to find there was a limited market for alternative dispute resolution practitioners at the time. Once I was practicing law, I hoped to become a neutral (read judge), but that was not to be. More importantly, I have always had a natural affinity or inclination towards mediation as a preferred manner of resolving conflicts. I am the middle child of three boys/sons. Hence, I have been a mediator since I could talk.

In August 2023, I successfully completed the week-long training, “Mediating the Litigated Case,” at the Straus Institute at Pepperdine University. Having done so, I feel ready to offer my services to the public and the bar. I look forward to working with you to resolve whatever dispute in which you may find yourself. If you think I could help, do not hesitate to contact me.

I promise to work diligently to help you reach a mutually satisfactory result.

My philosophy toward mediation is that the parties generally are willing to resolve a dispute, but often need creative insight (or sometimes simply a third party’s objective perspective) to reach a solution. Through patient listening and utilizing the experience I gained by having participated in scores of mediations I am ready to provide that assistance. If the parties approach mediation in good faith with an open mind and a desire to reach an agreement, a satisfactory resolution is nearly always obtainable... with a little help."
